As a former classroom teacher and elementary school principal, I LOVE when I see people creating classroom resources that are fresh, beautifully designed, and centered around celebrating diversity!
In a time where books and resources are being banned, I feel likte it’s more important than ever that children are able to celebrate all of their differences in the classroom. She also creates stylish t-shirts and accessories.

Mel is one of my favorite internet personalities! If you go on YouTube or TikTok and search “ImNotALawyerBut” You’ll probably go down a rabbit hole of a very thorough, entertaining summary of many interesting current court cases. She also has a fantastic YouTube podcast called “UnderReported,” which covers cases surrounding black women because they are under-reported in the media.

Leila is one of the most creative minds I know. She is an artist through and through, and her work always brings a smile to my face!
I currently have a couple of prints of hers hanging in my home office.
I love the themes of celebrating femininity, the way she often mixes different textures and mediums, and all the other ways she makes art come alive!
